5 Days Chimpanzee and Wildlife safari

Kibale National Park contains one of the loveliest and most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda. The park is home to a total of 70 mammal species, most famously 13 species of primate including the chimpanzees. It also contains over 375 species of birds. Kibale adjoins Queen Elizabeth National Park to the south to create a 180km-long corridor for wildlife between Ishasha, the remote southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Sebitoli in the north of Kibale National Park.

5 Days Chimpanzee and Wildlife safari

Day 1: Arrival – Airport pick up

1000 Shades of Green representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight at Laico Hotel Entebbe or Two Friends Hotel Entebbe (B&B)

Day 2: Entebbe – Kasese

After a relaxed breakfast our guide will drive you to Entebbe International Airport in time for your flight to Kasese. On arrival, our guide will pick you up and drive you to your lodge. In the evening you will proceed for a nature walk at Bigodi swamp. Retire for dinner and Overnight at Kibale Primate Lodge B.L.D

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking – Kibale Forest

Rally behind your game ranger for briefing and later proceed to Kibale forest for sessional chimpanzee tracking experience. Return to the lodge in the afternoon and depart Kibale and heading towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive provides a chance to see beautiful, cool Crater Lakes and possibly the Great Rwenzori Mountains. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Kyambura Game Lodge B.L.D

Day 4: Game drive and Boat cruise

The day begins with an early morning search for tree climbing lions and mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. We search for elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning for lunch. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Thanks to the abundant birdlife that is sighted, and the elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Kyambura Game Lodge B.L.D

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth – Entebbe International Airport

After breakfast, exit Queen Elizabeth National Park heading to the airstrip. You will arrive at Entebbe in the afternoon and our guide will drop you at your preferred lodge.
